Hi!
My name is Rutik and I am a 5th-year medical student at Anglia Ruskin Univrsity. In preparation for next year`s national school examinations, I am offering my expertise early on from the get-go for those students wanting to get an early start and maximise their chances of achieving their desired grade.

In addition to tutoring my listed subjects, I am offering my expertise in medical school interviews to help prep prospective students for their interviews. Looking back on my experience applying to medical schools, the interview stage was notably my strong point compared to the UCAT. I received offers from all medical schools that interviewed me.

I am passionate and enthusiastic about sharing my experiences with those whose positions I was once in. I have always, and still do, looked up to those who had recently gone through the same experience/process as I was as I believe they are best equipped to provide advice on how to succeed in that particular experience.

Experience: I have assisted peers in the years below me for examinations for A-Levels and medical school exams. Therefore I am confident in my ability to interact with students and provide bespoke tutoring to the tutee. A major benefit of having a young tutor such as myself is that it was not too long ago when I underwent the examinations for the listed subjects I can tutor. So I am able to empathise with the tutee with any difficulties they may have and truly understand possible obstacles to understanding the curriculum and achieving their desired grade.

For the past year, I have been an interview tutor for Step2Med where I am a mock interviewer during their courses. I am still a mock interviewer for their courses.

I have been a mock interviewer as part of my medical school`s Widening Acess to Medicine mock interview.

I have also been on interview courses run by The Medic Portal and Step2Med.

Collectively, the above has allowed me exposure to a vast collection of medical school interview questions and stations. Further to this, these experiences enabled me to have seen mark schemes for what interviewers are really looking for when it comes to identifying the best interviewees. After all, as an interviewee, you want to be highlighted as one of the stand-out candidates rather than the average candidate.
