Experience: Head of History in Manchester. I’ve taught GCSE History for the last 5 years to a wide range of abilities. Current exam board is AQA with a focus on America 1920-73, Conflict and Tension 1918-39, Power and the People as well as The Normans. I also have previous experience of teaching Russia between 1905-1921 for the WJEC exam board. A variety of resources to hand with a particular focus on exam skills! I’m quite flexible in terms of hours and will be able to do sessions on the weekend or the weekday. Furthermore, I’ve completed numerous CPD courses with WJEC and AQA which means I’m aware of the type of skills exam boards expect students to display in order to obtain a good grade in GCSE History. In addition, my experience as Head of History as well teaching mixed ability classes for the last five years has allowed me to cater to all abilities in order to raise attainment and aspirations within my school. I’m a very reflective practitioner which enables to build positive relationships with students.

Outstanding Tutor. Mohamed is an outstanding tutor. He is very knowledgeable, clear in teaching complicated concepts and his lessons are very engaging. He is kind and patient in explaining concepts. I can see that he has put a lot of work into preparing sessions. I could not recommend him more highly. He often goes over the allocated hour to ensure the topic is completed. He has gone out of his way to help with a school project. We feel very lucky to have found him.
