Guten Tag! Bonjour! I am an experienced and enthusiastic teacher of languages, currently teaching in a secondary school. I am also a mum of three teenage boys. I have French and German speaking friends and family and enjoy visiting Germany and France to keep up my language skills. I have always had a love for languages and would love to instil you with the same enthusiasm. After having lived abroad in Bordeaux and Tuebingen as part of my degree, I then graduated with a BA Hons Degree in Modern Languages (German, French and Spanish), after which I obtained my Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). As well as teaching languages to A level at comprehensive schools, I taught in International companies and also taught English as a foreign language to adults and children at a private school in Munich for two years.
As a mother and as a teacher, I know the importance of patience and how important it is to make learning worthwhile, enjoyable and fun!

Availability: I am available weekday evenings, some weekdays and weekends.

Experience: I am an experienced teacher with almost 30 years experience. I have taught English as a foreign Language in Germany and German and French in English secondary schools. I have up to date knowledge of the British exam system, having previously marked GCSE German and French for the AQA Exam Board. For the last 5 years I have also been mentoring student teachers and those new to the profession.I will always offer a learning program which is specifically tailored to suit the individuals needs, whatever the level of knowledge or ability. If required, lessons can be adapted to focus on specific skills such as writing, speaking, reading or listening. I will always strive to offer the best tuition possible, by thorough preparation and the use of a variety of learning materials and approaches. If required homework can be set to consolidate knowledge learnt. I will listen to your needs and aim to give you the best possible opportunity to achieve your goals.
