Umar

I am a welcoming and professional full-time tutor who has tutored over 200 students in GCSE and A-Level chemistry.

Academically, I hold a BSc (Hons) in chemistry from the University of Birmingham. I am also a former AQA A-Level chemistry examiner.

My primary goal while tutoring is always to help the student obtain the grades they desire. I aim to do so by not only teaching the content in a clear, structured and easy to understand manner but also by teaching the student how to examine well (something that is crucial and often overlooked). Being a former examiner for AQA gives me a unique insight into exam preparation and marking. At the end of each topic, I provide an extensive bank of past exam paper questions alongside concise, easy to remember revision notes.

I believe in using the knowledge I have gathered over many years to offer a personalised service and thus my teaching methods vary depending on the needs of the student.
