Information about Wedad

My interest in English led me to volunteer as a teaching assistant to Year 8 and Year 10 boys English classes over a six month period. In helping to teach others, I developed myself as a student, creating more succinct arguments, developing clarity of expression, and obtaining new insights from the minds of the students I taught. Being selected to be Deputy Head girl has led to great responsibility and has led me to have better organisation skills that have prepared me for life as an undergraduate. This role requires someone who is confident, who has great leadership skills and also social skills. It has also developed my patience and maintaining flexibility, which help me organise my time efficiently and find the perfect balance between hobbies and doing well academically. I enjoy public speaking formally and informally depending on the audience and debating as the necessities of being successful in these fields require someone with a strong awareness of English using effective ways of arguing a case.
