I am a Chartered Accountant with a degree in Performing Arts, so I always bring a fun element to my teaching. I am passionate about Maths and ensuring all my students have a full grasp of the basic fundamentals before expecting them to grasp more complicated concepts. Experience has taught me that once the fundamentals are conquered, everything else falls into place.

My qualifications including PTTLS (teaching in the lifelong learning sector), Train the Trainer and I am also a Master NLP Practitioner (Neuro Linguistic Programming), and apply NLP strategies when teaching to enhance the learning experience. Although the ultimate goal for the teaching will be to improve technical maths knowledge and confidence in sitting maths exams, the learning activities are tailored to the interests of the student, to make the topics relevant to their understanding.

I also work in the Film and TV industry as a production accountant, working on shows such as EastEnders and Holby City.

Availability: Saturday - Friday 9am - 9pm

Experience: Over the last 15 years I have spent much of my time running training programmes for new entrants into the film and tv industry for broadcasters including Netflix, BBC and ITV. Providing individual, classroom and online teaching.

It is always sad to see where people have not had the advantage of good maths teaching at school and have therefore carried their poor learnings and anxieties for maths into their adult life.

I have two children and have supported their maths learning throughout their schooling, leading to them both achieving high grades at GCSE. I love working with children and adults of all ages.
