Information about Ruby
I studied Medicine at Imperial College London, from where I graduated with all three degree-level distinctions: in medical sciences, clinical sciences and clinical practice. I also achieved several other exam-level distinctions/merits: year 1, year 2, obstetrics & gynaecology, paediatrics, specialty PACES, pathology, medical PACES.
Currently, I am a junior doctor undertaking GP training.
In addition to an MBBS, I completed an intercalated BSc (hons) in Global Health.
Prior to university, I attended The Henrietta Barnett School where I achieved 12 A*s at GCSE level, 5As at AS level and 4 As at A level.
Availability: Weekdays are preferable, but weekends also possible!
Please note I am willing to travel further afield to tutor, but this may change the rate to reflect time/travel costs.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I tutored younger medical students for 6 years- to prepare for and excel in their exams.
In addition to this, I was Vice-President of a leading academic society at my university. We organised regular tutoring, one-off courses and mock examinations.
For several years, I have offered tutoring for the various stages of the medical school application process- personal statement and interview practice. I have even organised a 200 student event on this (for 3 years running).
Prior to university, I tutored 11 plus and GCSE students (in Biology, Chemistry, Maths & French) for 2 years. I also taught a Year 5 class French once weekly for a year.
I absolutely love teaching and as I have demonstrated, I have many years of experience in a variety of disciplines. I have always received abundant positive feedback from my tutees, which is why I still teach today.
