Information about Harriet

I`m an English graduate with a 2.1 BA Hons from UCL. I work full time for Cosmopolitan magazine.

Alongside the professional experience described below, my mum is a primary school head teacher and through her support I am able to access valuable learning materials and information that is relevant to the national curriculum.

English is my obvious area of expertise but I`d be willing and able to help with any subject that requires written work - whether exam based, essays or coursework.

I am a published illustrator and happy to help students to develop their GCSE and A-Level art sketchbooks.

Sep 05 - Jun 08: University College London BA Honours in English Literature, 2. 1

Sep 03 - Jun 05: Esher College ‘A’ levels in Art, English and Drama (A, A, B)

Sep 98 - July 03: Holy Cross School GCSEs (5 x Astars in English Lit, Language, Art, Religious Education and Drama, 4 x As in History, French and Sciences, B in maths)

Some more facts about me - I`m part of the Urban and Community Beekeepers and look after hives all over central London. I love guerilla gardening and getting involved with community projects. I`ve just finished an illustration course at City Lit and am trying to fulfill a life long ambition to write and illustrate my own picture book, wish me luck!

All of my school reports say that I talked too much, but I think I turned out alright in spite of being a chatterbox.

Availability: Various - I work as a freelancer and am relatively flexible.

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: Currently developing a programme of english, arts and science based `pollination` learning activities, working with schools and trusts including Kew Gardens and Bee Urban.

I`ve volunteered to help with three school productions at Chase Bridge Primary School in Twickenham.

My mum is a primary school head teacher and my brother is a secondary drama school teacher who has just started working for Shakespeare`s Globe Theatre as a freelance education officer. Teaching really does run in the family!
