Hi, my name is Madison. I am a qualified primary school teacher, I have just graduated from Northumbria University, and I would LOVE to work with you. I have had 7 years experience working with and supporting children children, it brings me great joy to witness their progress.
I am a passionate, bubbly and positive person. I pride myself on being both patient and polite. As a result of my degree, I am able to teach outstanding lessons/interventions and my feedback and observations reflect this. I am adaptable to the needs of each child and I will focus my work to meet those needs. I endeavour to make my lessons fun and engaging, often basing them on the interests of each child. I believe that being aged 21, allows children to feel more comfortable/confident around me, building a strong rapport.
I can offer a vast range of support, which may include interventions in a particular subject, help with homework, building learning skills and/or to develop confidence in an area of the primary curriculum. Experience: I have just graduated from Northumbria University with a degree in Primary Education (with QTS), therefore I am a newly qualified teacher. As part of my university experience, I have worked in 6 different primary schools (both mainstream and special schools). I also specialised in music education and children aged 3-7, as part of my degree, as this is where a lot of my interest lies. Subsequently, I have had the most of my experience with children in this age bracket. However I am still eager to work with children who may be older than 7 too and I would like to teach across the entire primary curriculum, not just music education.
Prior to university, I had four years experience working in a primary school as part of my GCSE and A Level subjects. I also had the privilege to tutor some of the younger years in reading and to offer them counselling/life advice.
As a recent Northumbria graduate, I feel confident to teach all subject areas of the primary curriculum, paying careful attention to each child’s needs and preferred style of learning. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you think I may be a good fit for you.
