Information about Tracy
I am a fully qualified teacher with 29 years of teaching experience. I retired, after a successful ten year period as Head of Science at a local secondary school, in order to pursue my passion for private tutoring. I have several years experience of private tutoring and use my knowledge and experience of examinations to support students in preparing for public examinations. I am able to provide face to face or online tuition for A Level Biology and all sciences up to GCSE Level. I am happy to tutor at my own home on the outskirts of Thornbury, or to travel to student homes within the locality. I have an enhanced CRB document last updated in March 2021.
Availability: Weekdays and Weekends - both day time and evenings.

Experience: Fully qualified teacher of Science and Biology with 29 Years teaching experience for 10 of which I was a successful Head of Science at a local secondary school. Examiner for all major exam boards at GCSE and A level. Several years of private tutoring experience

Tracy is incredibly personable and manages to pitch explanations at a very bepsoke and appropriate level for both the individual and topic being covered. Has a great deal of patience! Always prompt and in my experience, finishes the topic regardless of time. Outcome rather than process focused. Excellent!! Most highly recommended.

My daughter likes Tracy and feels that she is a a good at teaching gcse science. She has been helping for just over a month now once a week, and my daughter says she finds it very useful, and would like to continue. Gcse exams are in about 7 months
We would therefore highly recommend Tracy.

Tracy has only visited us a couple of times, but has already made an impact on my daughters learning. She is friendly, patient and encouraging and taught my daughter more in the first session than she learnt in most of Year 12. Would definitely recommend her to others.

Mrs Tracy has only been 3 times so far but I can honestly say that she has made such a difference to my child`s confidence. She makes sure they understand the syllabus and will go over anything they are unsure off. We are so glad we found her to help with our child`s understanding of Science.
