I am a fully qualified teacher with 29 years of teaching experience. I retired, after a successful ten year period as Head of Science at a local secondary school, in order to pursue my passion for private tutoring. I have several years experience of private tutoring and use my knowledge and experience of examinations to support students in preparing for public examinations. I am able to provide face to face or online tuition for A Level Biology and all sciences up to GCSE Level. I am happy to tutor at my own home on the outskirts of Thornbury, or to travel to student homes within the locality. I have an enhanced CRB document last updated in March 2021.
Availability: Weekdays and Weekends - both day time and evenings.

I like her teaching style as she uses powerpoints which are very informative and include lots of subject specific terminology. She has very good knowledge of biology as she always makes sure to add pieces of information outside of the specification that help me to achieve a greater understanding of the topics. She also uses past paper questions which have been a very helpful revision resource for me.

Tracy is incredibly personable and manages to pitch explanations at a very bepsoke and appropriate level for both the individual and topic being covered. Has a great deal of patience! Always prompt and in my experience, finishes the topic regardless of time. Outcome rather than process focused. Excellent!! Most highly recommended.
