Hi, I`m Katie and have over 15 years experience helping students like you achieve at GCSE and A-Level in history. As a history consultant for a large academy chain, it is what the focus is of my job day in, day out. I work across over 30 schools across London supporting a huge range of students to maximise their lesson and revision time to get the best results in their examinations.
Not only am I an examiner for Edexcel, but I am also part of their advisory panel, so I know everything there is to know about passing the exams and also how to get the top grades.
Often history students are worried there is just “so much to remember” with history, but I can show you how to manage it easily and help build your confidence to achieve. I can provide you with my lots of past papers that will help kick start your revision, give you detailed feedback how to improve and really help you remember everything that will help you succeed.
Happy to run sessions online but can travel for in person sessions as I work across from Crawley to Croydon, or Bromley to Reigate. In person sessions are normally much more impactful, but happy to go with your preference.

Over 15 years experience as a history teacher and Ofsted trained. Trained with Teach First, PGCE. Currently employed by a London Academy Trust as a lead history consultant advising over 50 schools to develop their history provision.
Experienced in offering 1-2-1 tutoring and small group intervention with a record of outstanding results. Last year alone, I took students from a U grade in February to a grade 7 by the Summer.
Worked on panels preparing students for Oxbridge interviews and support with UCAS statements and applications.
Advisor and examiner for Edexcel GCSE history. Have marked on a range of topics including: Crime, Migration, Medicine, Germany, USA, Russia, Elizabeth, Henry, Superpowers and Anglo Saxons.
I am part of small group who make up the Edexcel Advisory Panel so am up to date with the latest exam board changes and approaches to assessment.
I have written and published history lessons and revision resources for Primary to A Level.
Write bespoke mock exam papers for GCSE and A-Level that help test students on what is likely to come up in the summer exams.
History course writer for the new national teacher training organisation for history meaning I provide training material for trainee teachers across the country: National Institute of Teaching.
Expert in teaching and practicing exam technique and know the research for how to help students learn and remember the historical knowledge needed.
