I am a full-time online private tutor with over 9 years of experience, having worked for leading tuition agencies in London and internationally. I have helped hundreds of students to achieve fantastic scores at Common Entrance, GCSE, A-Level, IB and University Entrance exams. Many of my students have achieved admission to some of the UK`s most prestigious schools and universities.

I graduated from Oxford University with a degree in Philosophy, Politics & Economics. I then studied Mandarin at Peking University on a British Council Generation UK-China scholarship.

As Confucius once said: “ To learn something and timely practice it – it is a pleasure, isn`t it?”. Learning is done best when motivated by interest, so my tutoring style aims to inspire students to love learning. I am an excellent motivator and develop my students into inquirers and critical thinkers. There is always a further ‘why?’ question, which my students become fond of asking!

My main academic interests include Philosophy, English Literature and Chinese Language.

I am extremely passionate about my hobbies which include playing the piano, learning Chinese, cooking and surfing. I’m very keen to promote extra-curricular interests to my pupils and I’m keener still to teach them (those that I can!).

Experience: I have been a professional tutor for 9 years. In that time, I have tutored pupils from across the world between the ages of 7 and 30.

I have had particular success with 11+, 13+ and 16+ independent schools entry, with pupils having achieved places at schools including Eton College, Wycombe Abbey, Sevenoaks School, Godolphin & Latymer, Dulwich College, Downe House and Radley College, to name a few.

I have helped students to achieve places at Oxford University to read Philosophy, Politics and Economics by preparing them for the TSA examination and the Oxford interview.

In GCSE, A Level and IB I have helped students to achieve their desired grades in English, Maths, Physics, Economics and Philosophy.

EXPERIENCE

2014 – Present
I have recently helped two brothers successfully gain entrance to Eton College, one for September 2022 Entrance and the other for September 2023. I have also successfully coached the son and daughter of a family for 11+ and 13+ entry, the son taking up a 2023 place at Dulwich College and the daughter a 2023 place at Godolphin & Latymer. I have also helped a student achieve a major academic scholarship to Sevenoaks School at 16+ entrance 2023.

In my year after finishing secondary school I tutored the then Oxford un ion President in 3rd Year Microeconomics. I taught myself the Oxford Microeconomics course in order to do so.
