Hello! I`m Maggie. I am now an entrepreneur to prepare building up my outdoor activities club. I was born in central of China and is a native speaker. I love Chinese and also love to promote it.
I was a broadcaster in Chinese university and have published more than ten short novels in Chinese literary website, so that I believe my Chinese is authentic and outstanding.
I am open minded, easy going and patient, and with me, you will get good foundation, develop and conquer your weak point. Also I love to learn different culture from others, so we are not the teacher and student, but friends learning from each other!
Availability: Currently for evening, I can do Tuesday and Wednesday, for daytime, I can do any day except for Wednesday. And no weekends.
But please NOTICE that sorry I DO NOT do lesson for kids due to my little experience with them.
I would like to travel but only within 1 mile (which actually means walkable distance).
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I have attended the teaching programme and got a high score for the final examination which is shown on my certificate.
I will do the plan for every student and improve it during the classes and depends on student prefer and impovement. Improving is not to repeat only, but to find out your weak point, face it and conquer it.
I had my first student from January 2014. We both really enjoyed the classes and become friends quickly.
Now I have more students, and on feedback page you will learn how they feel about my classes.

Awesome tutor, totally recommended!! Lessons were carefully prepared and tailored to specific areas I wanted to know about. Flexibility around my hectic schedule (last minute cancellations) was also very much appreciated. Progress was quick and encouraged and I`m very glad I chose this tutor for my first steps in learning Mandarin!

I have been learning with Maggie since February 2017. I found it very easy to settle into the lessons, Maggie took her time to understand my Chinese level and created a structure to help me grow my confidence and fluency when speaking Chinese.
Maggie uses methods such as story telling, daily life recordings and real life discussions and Chinese daily life conversation to practise together.
Maggie makes the lessons feel relaxed and like you are talking to a friend which has helped me grow my confidence.
Maggie really helped me fine tune to pronunciation from day one. I also have found listening to Maggie speaking Chinese very helpful as she speaks very clear Mandarin.
I would recommend to anybody who is learning or who wants to start learning Chinese to make contact with Maggie.

Maggie is a lovely Mandarin tutor. She always prepares a good lesson and explains things well. Maggie focuses on laying good foundations with getting pronunciation right and is helpful and encouraging. I`ve very much enjoyed my lessons with Maggie.
