A QTLS accredited English tutor whose ethos is that attainment can only be found by finding relevance. For learners with a keen interest in literature and the past, this is rarely a problem, but for those who cannot fathom symbolism and hidden themes within texts and sources, relevance needs to be found elsewhere. Subsequently, my goal is to infuse students with a passion for English Language and history based on their vocational goals and personal interests. Students can expect to benefit from a calming person, extensive subject knowledge and a personable approach.

Lessons are tailored to the clients` needs and learners can expect to benefit from an interactive learning journey using a range of techniques. Our topics which we would explore together include textual analysis, writing composition, spelling, punctuation, grammar, revision strategies and exam preparation. Lessons take place online for one hour and can include Key Stage 3, GCSE, A-Level and Functional Skills students.

Availability: My current availability is:

Mondays 4-9pm
Tuesdays 4-9pm
Fridays 4=9pm
Saturdays 2-5pm
Sundays 2-5pm

Tutoring sessions are one hour long and delivered online.

Experience: My approach has been developed by working with disengaged students and returning adult learners for over ten years. Primarily, my tutoring experience involves supporting learners on a one-to-one basis helping them to enhance their English language skills, however, my degree and tutoring experience also includes history as a personal interest. My experience also includes online delivery web-based learning platforms, Zoom and Microsoft Teams to deliver learning in an interactive format.
