Information about Josephine
Just graduated from King`s College London with an MA in The Classical World and its Reception, a niche area of classical study that focuses on the use of classical works and culture in modern art and literature. Throughout university I have learnt Ancient Greek to a high level and have a broad range of knowledge that spans both classical and English literature and history. I did a portion of my undergraduate degree at Oxford University in Classics and English so will be able to tutor those who wish to apply for the Oxbridge entrance exams.
In terms of personality and teaching style, I am encouraging and positive. I pride myself on having worked hard for the grades that I have achieved and hope I can encourage others to do the same.
Availability: I am available on weekday afternoons and evenings (excluding Wednesday and Friday) and all day on the weekends.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I have tutored both my peers and younger students in essay writing and in English literature, usually focusing on technique, argument and use of language.
I will feel confident and be able to tutor in essay writing, Oxbridge entrance and application, English Literature and Language, Religious studies (Philosophy and Ethics), Ancient Greek, Latin and Classical Civilisation. I will also be able to tutor for the 11+
