I graduated for the University of Birmingham with a First class honours in Human Biology. My passion is helping others develop and progress. Helping students excel and master their subjects is extremely rewarding and fulfilling. I believe all students are capable of excellence and a tutor is someone who can help unlock that potential to get the best grades possible.

I tutor science KS3 science, GCSE and A level Biology/Chemistry. My teaching style focuses particularly on engaging, fun learning with a strong emphasis on mastering exam technique. Rather than encouraging passive notetaking, I ensure that students first understand the content, such that they could explain/teach it back to me. When a lesson is engaging in this way, it encourages knowledge retention and accelerates learning. It`s also more fun - it feels less like a `lesson` and more like a conversation. Equally, whilst learning and remembering the content is one part of game, applying that knowledge in an exam context to achieve top grades is another skill that must be mastered. This is why I always bring past paper/practice questions to lessons!

Experience: I have tutored on a regular basis over the last year since graduating from University. This has largely been in person but I also have experience online. I am comfortable teaching students of all ages and at any level of ability. Subject I have experience teaching include KS3 Science, Chemistry and Biology GCSE (Across multiple exam boards) and A level Biology.

I also have teaching experience from working at sports holiday camps and through my Sports Leadership Award (Level 2) which involved planning and leading P.E. lessons at school and helping individuals who were finding P.E. difficult on a one to one basis.
