I have a Bachelors, masters and doctorate in French from the University of Birmingham. I have close to 10 years teaching experience and have taught every level of education from ks1 to degree level and adult learners. I have published on French literature and lived in Paris.

My approach to teaching is tailored to the individual and their strengths, weaknesses and objectives. I believe that the best way to learn and to improve in a foreign language is by immersion, that’s why, where possible, I conduct my lessons in french. In order to make lessons more dynamic, I believe it is important to incorporate current affairs, popular culture, film and music.

Availability: Flexible to most schedules, particularly evenings and weekends

Experience: I have worked as an English teacher in France in three primary schools, for which I underwent teacher training. I also worked independently in France as a private English and German tutor. I have privately taught French for 7 years. I have also lectured at University on french language, literature and film studies for which i underwent teaching training for higher education. Additionally, I have taught primary school french.
