I am currently a KS2 Primary School teacher and an experienced tutor. I am able to tutor all subjects at Primary level but specialise particularly in English and Maths.

I am a friendly, approachable person, which I feel is important in establishing a relationship between tutor and tutee. Without an effective relationship and understanding of one another, little learning can be achieved. My main goal is to bring the best out of the students that I tutor. It is my belief that all students are capable of achieving great things and with a little help, I hope to encourage this.

I feel that each student is different so I aim to tailor the tutoring sessions specific to the student. Not only that, I try to use a variety of different teaching methods so as to appeal to different types of learners as well as keeping students engaged.

Experience: I currently work in a local Primary School as a KS2 teacher and have been a fully qualified teacher for 4 years.

I have tutored several children of different age ranges from Year 2 right up to a Year 6 student who was struggling in English prior to sitting his SAT exams. I further tutored him during the transition process from Primary to Secondary education and was able to see a marked improvement in his skills as well as his confidence. All previous tutees have succeeded in achieving the goals they had set before embarking on tutoring.

I have done various other voluntary work with children and have a DBS certificate.
