It is important for me that the mental and emotional wellbeing of a student is taken care of as well as their educational needs. The 11 plus can be a stressful for a child, particularly at such a young age and so I create a productive learning environment that ensures a child leaves a session with me more positive and confident than when they arrived.

I offer tutoring for those who are seeking to take the 11 plus exams which will allow a student to land a place at some of the most prestigious schools in the county. Whether your child just needs a little help learning these skills which are largely untaught in schools or if you are seeking that coveted scholarship or bursary that will secure your child’s future then I am able to help.

Availability: I am available throughout the week both during the day and in the evenings.

Experience: I have been tutoring 10 and 11 year olds to prepare them for their SATS. I also taught myself when I was younger to pass the 11 plus as it was untaught in schools. Not only did I pass but I earnt myself a scholarship, securing my place at a school that I would otherwise be unable to afford.

I am a graduate of English and Drama and, therefore communication has always been my forte as I have been performing most of my life and so I am a very confident person both one-on-one and in front of a crowd.

However, I understand that communication is a two-way street and just being able to speak confidently is not all that is required. To effectively engage with your children I must also be able to actively listen to them and so I tailor each of my sessions to your child’s individual needs whilst constantly devising innovative ways to keep them engaged as they learn. I construct a fun yet educational learning environment which helps to stimulate joy within these sessions with a creative and positive teaching style.

I have also received safeguard training and hold both a DBS and first-aid certificate.
