Jamie

I am a qualified and experienced primary school teacher, having taught for nine years in different London schools before moving to Sussex and becoming a tutor. I have taught all subjects across the primary curriculum to children in Key Stages 1 and 2. I am specialised in Key Stage 2 and preparing for SATS and Secondary school after teaching many Year 5 and Year 6 classes. During my career, I have held leadership positions and have been the Maths Subject Leader in two different schools. I have planned interventions and catch up sessions in Writing, Reading and Maths and in the past year I have been a tutor on the National Tutoring Programme tutoring children from Key Stage 2.

I believe that children learn best through praise, engagement and a positive relationship with their teacher. I offer catch up, preparation for SATs and 11+. I have experience and strategies for working with many children who have a range of SEN. I would love the opportunity to help your child enjoy learning and make great progress. Availability: During the week, I am available between 9:00-2:30 on Mondays and Tuesdays and 9:00 - 7:00 on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. I am also available on Saturdays and Sundays.
