Adam

Hello! My name is Adam and I am 28 years old. I have been playing the double bass for 17 years and am currently employed as the principle double bassist/bass guitarist of the Band of the Grenadier Guards; the clarinet is my secondary study for both marching and stage performances. In July 2014 I graduated with a First Class Dual Honours in History and Music at Keele University, having specialised in solo performance for the music half of my degree. Prior to my career in London, I briefly taught secondary history in the West Midlands whilst continuing to perform in various orchestras and ensembles across the region. Although I enjoyed being a classroom teacher, the opportunity to be employed as a professional musician was too good to ignore when it came up. I still greatly aspire to tutor others within musical fields however, because it is a subject that I am keen to inspire a genuine passion for. Music is a universal language to be enjoyed by all irrespective of age or ability level.

Experience: In addition to teaching large classes of secondary pupils I have also taught on a one-to-one level. In total, I have approximately five years of teaching and mentoring experience and an up-to-date knowledge of the latest coaching and mentoring techniques.
