I am a highly motivated, conscientious, and culturally aware DELTA-qualified British native English speaker with 20+ years’ EFL experience teaching students of all ages and levels face-to-face and online in the UK, UAE, Spain, China, Taiwan, and South Africa.

I strive to create a relaxed and fun learning environment to promote student engagement, motivation, autonomy, and confidence in the practical use of English. I was awarded distinction for the DELTA Module Three specialising in Curriculum Design and have extensive experience designing student-centred courses incorporating interactive activities, digital resources, and learner strategies. These include:
- CEFR-level General, Business and Academic English, including Pre-sessional and Foundation English.
- English for the Workplace - short courses, including Effective Business Email Writing, Presenting in English, and Report Writing.
- General and Academic IELTS.
- Phonics and literacy.
- Tailor-made in-company business and vocational courses for a wide-range of sectors, including hospitality, finance, oil and gas, the police, military, and the UAE’s Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development.

I now teach all classes online and invite new students to attend an online class at a reduced cost to discuss specific English needs, learning goals and level assessment.

I am an accredited IELTS examiner and experienced in online testing with Cambridge University Press and Oxford University Press. I also provide additional language and proof-reading support to students writing academic papers and dissertations.

My additional business experience as a project manager, NCTJ-qualified journalist, researcher, and proof-reader for various companies, including the BBC, Condé Nast Publications, and the UAE’s Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development, enables excellent communication.

Availability: I am available every day, including evenings and weekends depending on class bookings. Please feel free to contact me with enquiries and I will do my best to accommodate your needs. The first class is at a reduced cost and my hourly rate is also flexible depending on the number of hours you book.
