I have over 25 years teaching experience and have raised four children - one having completed a degree in Astrophysics, another currently studying for a degree in marketing and and the third in Year 10 - so I have a good knowledge and understanding of the problems parents face trying to support their child`s learning. I have always been an early adopter of technology in my teaching and have been producing podcasts, video support material on Youtube, using conferencing platforms and authoring electronic resources for learning years before the Covid pandemic shifted a lot of learning online. I also pride myself on being a lifelong learner as it help to keep reminding what the learning experience feels like for the student and most recently I have been teaching myself to use midi-instruments and DAW software and have learnt to ride a tandem. I have worked for some years in academic libraries so can support research strategies and information retrieval for higher qualifications. My first degree is English Literature but as a result of teaching English Language I also have a good understanding of language acquisition from 0 - 14 and the principles of grammar and syntax. I have a flourishing TES author page with 60% of site visitors downloading resources I have created. I also have a Youtube presence where I post video walkthroughs and guides to A level courses I have taught on.
