Information about Emma
I am a fully qualified and experienced secondary teacher. Guiding hundreds of pupils through their exams - always exceeding predicted grades. I teach GCSE, A-Level and IB for all the exam boards and keep up-to-date with any specification changes.
2019 results are in: A* for IGCSE, 5s to 9s for GCSE and I am so proud of my A Level students; all predicted D or E grades and have achieved C, B and A grades. They have all exceeded their predictions by at least two grades!
My specialism is working with pupils with special education needs and disabilities. Every one of my students has a tailor-made lesson structure; specifically to align with their exam board and personal needs. Many of my students are delighted to be able to direct the topics of their study, review concepts that they find difficult and then find new found confidence through exam question practise.
I offer fieldwork data collection trips and have organised: river, coastal, glacial, tectonic, tourism, urban settlement, to name just a few. Each trip is carefully managed to apply to the exam board criteria and I teach specific geographical skills that apply across all the examined papers (often useful for science too).
I am available to teach 1:1 across Gloucestershire and online tuition for students across the world.

Helped with key concepts in A-Level Geography and coursework advice. Well prepared lesson plans and a very helpful tutor, would recommend!
Emma, has made time in her very full schedule to help my daughter to prepare for her A level Geography exams. She is already assisting my daughter in gaining confidence in her weaker areas of the curriculum.
An excellent, kind & approachable tutor who helped our daughter with her Geography A level. Without her help, support & knowledge she would never have achieved the results she did... Thankyou xx
Emma is a fantastic tutor who is helping my son enormously. She helps him to understand topics in different ways - he is finding this very useful
I can highly recommend Emma. She tutored my home schooled son through his Geography GCSE and brought out the best in him. She is organised and always came prepared with resources and a structured plan for each lesson. There was homework every week and lots of exam practice. I am delighted with the outcome.
Emma started tutoring our son once a week for an hour from last October following his frustration at achieving a disappointing AS Geography result last August. From the first meeting she built a great rapport not just with him but with all of us and took time to understand the challenges our son was having. Quickly her huge passion for her subject gradually inspired a step change in both his motivation and his confidence, leading to increased application and enjoyment. He felt confident that this would translate into an improved A level grade by the time he sat his exams however even he was surprised that he managed to achieve an A grade when he received his result last week! It is difficult to overestimate Emma`s contribution to his success and I would unreservedly recommend you to engage Emma if you need any help with A Level Geography. She`s an awesome tutor!
We cant say thank you to Emma enough - she was an angel to come to rescue and one of the best tutors we ever had! After were messed up by the tutor before Emma, time was wasted and the GCSE exams were fast approaching, we had to ask Emma again for her help though she said previously she had had enough students in hands. This time, she kindly agreed to help our son and did a fantastic job indeed! She was very knowledgable, friendly, helpful and patient. Our son really enjoyed the whole process of revision with her. We would love to recommend Emma wholeheartedly to anyone who needs a pair of capable helping hands!
Emma has been a brilliant addition to Zaks home-school tutor crew. He loves her geography lessons and weve even managed a couple of field trips! Emma is always professional, punctual and cheerful.

Emma has recently started tutoring my son. She listened carefully to what he felt were his areas of weakness and prepared lessons specifically to cover them. He has a good relationship with her and is happy to attend the lessons.
