Hello, Guten Tag, Bonjour
I am a qualified and well experienced German and French teacher. I was born in Berlin and grew up in Zurich, Switzerland, and have lived and worked in Sheffield since 2008.
I enjoy supporting pupils in becoming more confident and achieving their goals. I am a patient and encouraging tutor and I love the work - it`s a joy for any teacher to be able to fully commit to and engage with a pupil`s needs and abilities. I devise motivating, bespoke private tuition plans, based on the pupils interests, needs and assessment requirements.
I am now training as a yoga teacher and sing in a choir in my spare time.
Availability: Monday to Friday
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: In my most recent job I was subject leader of German and responsible for all of the students` modern language GCSE coursework and exams.
I trained as a teacher in 2009 and have taught German and French in secondary schools up until the end of last year (2015).
Before I trained as a teacher, I worked as a journalist in Zurich. Upon moving to Sheffield, I worked as a conversation tutor for German degree students at the University of Sheffield, while studying towards a Masters degree in Creative Writing.
A testimonial for my private lesson, as found on Sheffield forum: "Can I suggest you search for a one Lisi , she`s the best German teacher I`ve ever had" (www.sheffieldforum/archive/index.php/t-391631.html)
