Information about Erin
Hello! I’m Erin , a final-year Law student at the University of York, an International Baccalaureate graduate, and a part-time teaching assistant.
With over three years of tutoring experience, I specialise in English, Maths and 11+ preparation. I have supported 24 students through the 11+, achieving a 96% pass rate to date.
Through my experience as both a tutor and teaching assistant, I recognise that every child learns differently. I tailor my sessions to each student’s individual strengths, areas for development and learning style. I also have experience supporting neurodivergent children and adapting my teaching to help students feel confident, engaged and comfortable asking questions.
I offer online tuition only, allowing students to learn from the comfort of their own home. New students are also welcome to book their first session at 50% of my usual rate, giving us an opportunity to get to know one another and see whether I’m the right fit for their learning needs.

Erin has been absolutely amazing with my daughter. From the very beginning she has been so kind, patient and encouraging, and Mia has always felt completely comfortable with her. The biggest difference I’ve noticed is Mia’s confidence. She has come on so much since having Erin as her tutor and has learnt a huge amount from her. Erin explains things in a way that Mia understands and has really helped her to believe in herself more, which has been lovely to see. Mia genuinely enjoys her sessions with Erin, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a nicer tutor for her. We’re so grateful for all the support she’s given Mia and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a tutor.

We engaged Erin to support our daughter with 11 Plus English, particularly comprehension and creative writing, and she has been wonderful. Although all tutoring was done remotely, Erin was always efficient, punctual, and fully engaged in every session. She explains concepts clearly, adapted to our daughter’s needs, and brings patience and encouragement throughout. The improvement has been remarkable, our daughter has come on in leaps and bounds. We would definitely recommend Erin to any parent seeking quality tuition.
