I am a qualified chemistry teacher, and currently hold the position of Head of Chemistry at an Outstanding OFSTED rated secondary school.

I graduated from the Univeristy of Bristol in 2014 with a MSci Chemistry, and was subsequently awarded the Royal Society of Chemistry ‘Teaching Scholarship’ to embark upon a career in education.

I have considerable experience teaching both GCSE and A-Level, with my students attaining high grades and making considerable progress.

I am firm believer that the very best teacher can unlock the potential of any student, focusing on both their strengths and weaknesses.

I seek to treat every student as an individual, each of whom has their own learning needs to ensure they can achieve the highest of grades.

GCSE Chemistry / GCSE Combined Science:

I have an excellent knowledge of the new GCSE Chemistry and Combined Science specifications and have co-ordinated a clear curriculum pathway to ensure my tutoring sessions encompass the full range of skills that are needed to meet the demands of the new GCSE specifications.

A considerable number of my students have achieved the new Grade 9 in the June 2018, 2019 examination series.

Likewise, I can aid those students who need further support in Science to reach the new benchmark Grade 5 at GCSE.

A-Level Chemistry:

Having co-ordianted the A-Level currciulum over the past three years, I have a sound knowledge of the new A-Level Chemistry specifications.

A number of my students have achieved the highest outcome (A*) at A-Level and have since progresses to study Medicine, Natural Sciences, Chemical Engineering at an array of respected Russel Group Institutions.

During all tutoring sessions, I will set a clear homework task due for the next session, as to maximise the contact time during each session.
