Hi there,

I am a PhD researcher at the University of Oxford with a master’s in chemistry. I have been tutoring for several years, and my intentions are to help you reach those desired top grades. Through my tutoring I will not only try to help you learn the subject matter, but I also hope to show you how enjoyable maths and chemistry can actually be (I am all too aware how dull they are at times). I will teach you the critical study techniques and exam techniques that got me to where I am today, the same methods Oxbridge students used when they were in your shoes.

I have experience with most exam boards, especially AQA and Edexcel. With my exam techniques I will show you how to approach each type of question for each exam board. As important as knowing the subject matter is, it is usually the exam techniques that distinguish the As from A*s. And it is that sense of pride and satisfaction I feel when one of my students reaches those grades that motivates me to keep tutoring.

Experience: I have been a tutor for six years, teaching anyone from primary school students in English and maths to helping university undergraduates with chemistry. I have tutored both home students and international students in maths, the sciences, and English. Throughout I have also successfully helped a number of my international students apply to UK universities. During my long career as a tutor I have come across many people and have learned to adapt my lessons to the preference and need of the student.
