I am an experienced teacher having taught PE for many years before moving to teaching maths about 20 years ago. I taught maths at key stages 2, 3 and 4 in the classroom for about 10 years. Around about 2012 I had the opportunity to teach one to one maths in a secondary school, initially concentrating on year 7 but, between 2014 and 2016 I specialised in GCSE and Functional Skills maths for Year 11 students. For the last few years I have worked as a College lecturer in addition to home tuition. I am passionate about the subject and my aim is to install greater confidence in those I teach and for them to succeed.
Given the current situation concerning Covid 19 I am happy to offer on line tuition and would be happy to correspond with you to see if this would be suitable. I would hope to be able to return to normal home tuition once the situation allows.

Availability: Evenings and weekends.

Experience: I am experienced at key stages 2, 3 and 4. I have a good understanding and experience of teaching maths for both the GCSE and Functional skills. My main recent experience is with GCSE, including the new 9-1 syllabus although this year I have also been teaching the new Functional Skills course.
