My specialist subjects are Physics to A level standard and General Science up to Gcse. I`m an experienced science teacher and tutor. I`ve taught exam classes, marked for exam boards and tutored students for gcse and a level exams. Having been a teacher for 8 years now I`ve seen a lot of changes in how students are examined and recent changes have made it really important that students are prepared so that they know how to access top marks for questions. I can help students achieve a better understanding of their subject but more importantly I can help students apply their knowledge to exam questions and coursework. I will also help students develop revision skills.
Availability: I can tutor evenings after school and weekend.

David has done 4 tutoring sessions with my daughter now for GCSE science. His lessons are focussed and he covers a lot of ground. My daughter is finding them useful and it`s helping her to fully understand and cement what she`s learned at school. David is responsive, polite and reliable, and has a positive and encouraging teaching style - I would definitely recommend him to others.

Excellent tutor, we first engaged David when our eldest daughter announced (during her mock exams) that she didn’t understand physics and was predicted a grade 4. David kindly stepped in at short notice and worked through the gaps in her understanding, and months later she scored all grade 9 in her science GCSEs. More than happy to entrust our other two daughter science education to David, he is amazing.

David has been providing science tutoring for my 15 year old for several weeks now. The online lessons are working well and are followed up with some homework as a basis for the next lesson. David was very approachable and took time to discuss our requirements at the start of the process. Lessons happen reliably as arranged. A key factor for us was the fact that he is a current science teacher and therefore very familiar with GCSE requirements.
