Information about Jonny
I am a qualified teacher (QTS) who qualified at outstanding and completed my NQT year at good with outstanding elements. I am a Teach First Ambassador. I can be a tutor for History and Politics GCSE and A-Level. I achieved 3 A*s at A-level, an (MA) in History from the University of Edinburgh and am currently completing an MSc in Social and Public Policy at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
I can also tutor at primary school level, as I have three years of primary school teaching experience. My subject knowledge is excellent and I can teach high quality lessons to a range of age groups.
I have History degree from the University of Edinburgh, so I have the subject knowledge to provide high quality History A-level tutoring.
I am just completing my MSc in Social Policy, where I have gained greater knowledge and expertise in politics and sociology, at the London School of Economics and Political Science. I am currently on course for a distinction in this programme. Therefore, I have excellent subject knowledge for the purposes of teaching A-level sociology and politics, as well as history.
I am a fully qualified teacher with QTS (qualified at outstanding), with three years experience at primary school level. In my opinion, teaching the historical topics like the history of the Anglo-Saxons or sociological concepts like poverty, inequality, social media use and democratic participation at primary school level was a great test of my teaching skills. I also took a lead in designing the history curriculum at my previous school. I can apply and adapt these teaching skills for students at GCSE and A-level and take advantage of my excellent subject knowledge.
I also gained 3 A*s (History, History of Art and English) at A level in 2012 and 9 A*s at GCSE. I know how to succeed in exams and I am confident that my students will succeed too. But more than that, I love to learn and I aim to pass on that love of learning to anyone I teach.
Availability: I am not currently available for tutoring.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I am a fully qualified teacher with QTS (qualified at outstanding), with three years experience at primary school level.
In my opinion, teaching the history of the Anglo-Saxons, sociological concepts like poverty, inequality, social media use and the politics of the U.K. at primary school level was a great test of my teaching skills. I also took a lead in designing the history curriculum at my previous school.
I can apply and adapt my teaching skills and experience for students at GCSE and A-level. Doing so will allow me to take advantage of the excellent subject knowledge that I have gained from my 3 A*s at A level, History degree and Social Policy MSc.
