I thoroughly enjoy teaching people about science and I am happy to tutor in Maths & Physics at any school level and other science subjects up to GCSE level.

I graduated from Imperial College London in 2015 with a Masters in Physics (2:1). I went to school in Edinburgh where I was a keen rower and rowed for Scotland. I had straight As across 4 Scottish Advanced Highers (equivalent to A-Level) and across 5 Highers (equivalent to AS-Level).

In my spare time I write and perform in a comedy night and play the guitar, having taught myself from scratch.

I like to identify the parts of the course that students struggle most with and then base lessons around solving problems in those areas. I prefer to work from fundamentals rather than just learning to recite a textbook answer. My ultimate aim is for students to feel more confident in their knowledge of the subject.

I`m happy to answer e-mail questions between lessons to encourage out of hours learning.

Availability: I am available on all weekdays.

Experience: I have tutored chemistry at GCSE level and Physics and Maths at A Level and found this to be very rewarding. I also have previous experience as a school rowing coach, teaching rowing to beginner and intermediate children.

For the past 3 years I have worked as a design/development engineer in the manufacturing industry. A large part of my job involves taking complex ideas and conveying them to colleagues with limited technical knowledge.
