Information about Morgan
Im 18 years of age and currently on a gap year, i went to America on a golfing scholarship to study accounting and maths alongside of this, after a month i realised that it wasnt the place for me so Im currently at home preparing for University in the UK in 2020. Golf is a big hobby of mine, Ive played since the age of 4, i enjoy competing every year in competitions that take place round the country and also represented my country in national matches! Regarding maths I used to struggle as a young child and the subject really wasnt my strong point so I understand the obstacles that students may face, maths is probably one of the hardest subjects as there is only one answer its not subjective to your own opinion and your own thoughts. This problem solving aspect used to be something Id hate but over the years as my skills developed its the main reason I enjoy the subject, embracing the challenge of trying to find the one answer to the question is something I love to do. I can cater for all abilities and I believe with my help the student can develop their skills just like I did and after some sessions begin to enjoy maths. A lot of revision techniques are still very fresh In my mind so I can suggest some ideas to be able to pass onto the student depending on how they learn best, after being in full time education for 7 years straight I can pass on problems Ive faced during that time to ensure that the student doesnt have to waste time experiencing the mistakes I made within my time in education. Happy tutoring!
Availability: I have a part time job but its very flexible so i can sort out hours that suit the time the student requires, to begin with tutoring will be home only however i have an upcoming driving test so after this i will be able to commute to your home instead, which i hope will make things easier for the students needs.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I attended Chase Terrace for five years where i studied art, German, triple science, sport and then the compulsory core subjects of maths and English. In my GSCE results i obtained 5 A*s, 4 As and a distinction *. I then moved to a boarding school called Millfield in Somerset for two years to do my A levels, here i took maths, accounting and psychology where I received an A in both maths and accounting and a B in psychology. Whilst doing my A levels at Millfield I captained the golf side there and in my final term was awarded head of my boarding house. Was a wonderful experience and gave me a big opportunity regarding my academics.
