Information about Liam
I work as a Trust Lead for Languages across a Multi Academy Trust with 9 secondary schools, where I am responsible for the languages provision for 11,000 students. Prior to this, I was a Senior Leader and Head of Languages in a Scunthorpe secondary school. I have also been a Teacher of MFL (German and Spanish) in secondary schools in Barnsley, Wakefield and Sheffield prior to this.
I am proficient and knowledgeable in the teaching of both German and Spanish to GCSE and A Level and have followed most specifications.
Having previously studied and lived abroad as part of my degree course, I have an awareness of language learning from a student’s perspective and this is not something I have lost sight of now I am teaching.
Availability: Monday to Friday - Evenings
Saturday and Sunday - Flexible
Willing to travel: 30 miles
Experience: I have taught German and Spanish across all Key Stages, including GCSE and A Level classes following the AQA and Edexcel specifications.
I am also an AQA GCSE Examiner for Spanish and have marked the Speaking component of the GCSE during this summer series since 2018.
