I am a friendly and approachable tutor with a passion for physics and mathematics, in particular algebra and calculus. I have always loved physics and maths and would love to nurture other people’s enjoyment of the subject. No matter which area of mathematics you are struggling with, I am happy to help at a pace that suits you. I am extremely patient and am willing to take as much time as you need to help you gain confidence with these subjects.

I received a degree from Durham University in Physics, and used this to work in the medical field for a number of years, ensuring that hospital equipment used for cutting edge cancer care was safe to use. This would not have been possible without a strong foundation in maths and physics.

To be able to work clinically, I was required to achieve registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Clinical Scientist.

I have had previous experience of tutoring and I find it extremely rewarding to break down these traditional “challenging” subjects and make them feel less daunting by relating to real life context and understanding.

Availability: Daytime or evenings during the week and weekends

Experience: I have experience tutoring students with a wide range of mathematical abilities, in particular for GCSE/A-level examinations.
