Information about Jeremiah
I have an invested interest in giving back to the community and helping people fulfil their potential. I spent 14 months working one-to-one in classes with children who were seen to have emotional and/or behavioural difficulties. This has equipped me with a quiet determination and patience that allows me to provide an effective service for everyone.
My work creating and producing sessions for young people from a variety of different settings (from schools to youth offending ) has also provided me with a strong understanding of the different learning needs and styles.
My teaching style encourages students to have more say on how they should learn things. I will also attempt to make it more interactive where possible and develop this further with more experience.
I will be converting my Diploma into a Masters in November 2017, which would involve doing research and a dissertation on a topic of my choice. Social work studies also include sociology and psychology theories. My psychology and sociology knowledge has constantly been refreshed as a result of my social work lectures.
In regards to learning, i am most passionate about sociology and those topics that are most closely linked with it (i.e politics, psychology and history.
