Hi, everyone.

I am Sraboni. I am an Indian. I can easily communicate in English as I have done my schooling from a reputed English medium school. Hindi is my native language and Bengali is my mother tongue. I speak in all the three languages daily, depending on to whom I am talking. If you wish to, kindly watch my video. I have spoken in all the three languages and also explained my teaching style in detail.

I love dancing and I am a trained Kathak dancer and a passionate Bollywood dancer.

Teaching is my passion and I love interacting with people of different countries and knowing about their culture. Being an Indian, I also love to talk about our diverse culture and traditions. As an online tutor, I can easily do this. I share my knowledge with others and help them to speak a new language in an interactive and fun way. I also get to know a lot about the culture and life style of different countries from my students during the classes.

My teaching style depends on the learning ability, current level and goals of the student. Some prefer a more detailed approach and some just want to know how to communicate with native people, within a few days. I plan the classes accordingly.

Teaching Approach:

Bengali or Hindi: People learn languages for various reasons, for travel, work or simply because their spouses speak that language. I plan my classes accordingly and we also discuss about topics that would be more relevant to that particular student. Example: for a tourist, I will help with how to talk to cab drivers and how to bargain while shopping as they may be travelling alone. If I teach someone whose husband is Indian, I may teach her how to say a recipe in Hindi/Bengali to impress her in laws or teach them a poem or song just for fun. I also take into account the interests of the students before deciding a topic of discussion.

For complete beginners, I start from the basics and go at a very slow pace during the initial classes so that it is easy for the student to follow. I give many relevant examples that help students to understand the rules of grammar or sentence structures easily.

I teach complicated sentence structures to students of intermediate or advanced levels. In these classes we discuss about various topics and cover more vocabulary. I also help students to convey the same idea using different sentence structures.

The points that I stress on while conducting a class are:

1. pronunciation,

2. vocabulary,

3. grammar

4. the formation of correct sentences.

I also teach reading but learning how to read is not compulsory, if you are only interested in speaking. I would love to teach you reading if you are interested in reading Indian stories or poems. We will begin with learning alphabets, followed by words and finally read stories or poems together.

BOLLYWOOD DANCE: My dance classes are specially designed for girls aged 7 to 12 who are complete beginners and have a passion for Bollywood dance. I use very simple steps which look elegant as well. I not only teach them dance but also teach them the meanings of the words so that they can fell the song and that helps them to perform better.

Availability: I am available everyday from 8:00 P.m. to 12:00 a.m. IST (GMT+ 5 HOURS 30 MINS). Timings can also be decided through messages.

Experience: I have taught in an I.S.A CERTIFIED SCHOOL (by British council) for four years. I also received the prestigious TEACHER`S AWARD in 2014. I was actually a language teacher who also used to help students learn dancing for school events. I have also trained award winning students for inter school dance and debate competitions. For proof I can show the concerned pictures which were included in our school`s annual magazine.

So, I know how to motivate the weak students to perform well and how to bring out the best in bright students.
