Information about Gareth
I am an experienced tutor, specialising in: Physics, Maths, Chemistry, Biology, English and French tuition.
Having completed a Physics degree, I worked as an Actuary for a Reinsurance company for 4 years before deciding to retrain as a teacher. As such, I have a solid understanding of Physics, Maths, Chemistry and Biology. I am keen to teach each of these subjects as I thoroughly enjoy their content.
Additionally, I am confident in my French language abilities, for which I achieved a high 2:1 in oral, written and listening exams in advanced level French in my final year at university. Thus, I am confident teaching students of all abilities with their French speaking, writing and listening skills.
I have also had experience tutoring students with their written english language. I have received multiple First Class honours grades for my writing skills throughout my degree. Additionally, I have supported GCSE students and helped A-level students write university personal statements.
