Information about Emily
Hi all! My name is Emily and I am a third year medical student at Oxford University, where I have achieved a First Class in my Bachelors degree. I previously studied at Tiffin Girls` School where I achieved all A*s at GCSE and A-level. I am available over the holidays and happy to help with Biology and Chemistry (A-level and GCSE), and Medical School admissions.
Availability: I am available during the holidays
Willing to travel: 3 miles
Experience: I was sitting in my first Oxford tutorial when I realised the powerful impact of a good tutor and personalised teaching in inspiring intellectual curiosity and growth. I have always loved learning, but what I`ve found to be equally, if not more, rewarding is sharing my interest and experiences overcoming academic obstacles. By building good rapports with my students, I have helped them learn, apply, and challenge themselves to achieve their goals. Through teaching, I have also enjoyed developing my interpersonal skills and testing the bounds of my knowledge.
My teaching methodology revolves around building a solid understanding of the core material and applying this to answer exam questions. Lessons will be interactive, dynamic and tailored towards your needs so you feel more confident walking into that exam or interview. I can also provide condensed electronic notes on the material covered in lessons. The success of this approach has been reflected in the accomplishments of my previous students, with many achieving top grades at GCSE/A-level and 3 students receiving offers from Oxford/Cambridge to study Medicine.
