Originally from Taiwan and now living in the UK, I am a native Mandarin speaker, with English as my second language. Having completed "Teaching Chinese as a Second Language" courses I now have more than 15 years tutoring experience in both Taiwan and U.K.

I enjoy helping my students build interests in both Chinese language and culture. My lessons are designed with a blend of formal learning and casual conversation. Through conversation, my students use what they learn from books and also learn how to talk about things that matter to them individually, such as family, travel, interests, work etc.

My students are like my friends, and together we can explore different topics in Mandarin that students may encounter in day to day life.

Availability: Weekdays and weekends daytime and evenings

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: ** Most students prefer 1-to-1 tutoring. For those who prefer to organize pairs or more people tuition, the 2nd and subsequent students will only need to pay half the regular tuition fees. **

As a Mandarin teacher, my aim is to help British students to develop their understanding of Chinese language and culture whether a beginner or studying for exams. To gain their interests, I will use online resources, books and other materials designed by myself. Under my teaching, beginners will know more about Mandarin and hopefully be inspired to choose it as one of their foreign languages in school or help them with their future study or work.

For school students, I aim to provide additional focused help and tuition to improve performance in assignments and exams.
