Information about Maria Del Mar
For 5 years I have been studying Early year in Málaga and Childhood education at the University of Granada. During my course I gained a lot of experience organising and conducting clases. What is more I attended a variety of courses and internships. Since I moved to England I have been teaching Spanish. All my students come from different countries which may be challenging but I must admit that teaching my own language and culture is a greatly gratifying experience.
I just love teaching, seeing students improve their language and confidence. Which is why I put a lot of care into creating my own materials and to engage in language learning using a variety of teaching methodologies.
Availability: My availability depends on my work.
It can be weekday mornings or afternoons.
Willing to travel: 3 miles
Experience: The last year I went to Pate´s Grammar School and Gloucestershire Collegue to observing the spanish classes. Since May until July of 2015, I have attended secondary school, Tewkesbury school as Spanish teacher assistant (volunteer) because I wanted to have more experience, have contact with the English education and know from inside how the Spanish levels are organized in key stage (3,4 and 5) . I was full time Monday to Thursday helping in several classes and supporting students in the part of Speaking. Working here has given me the opportunity to widen my teaching experience and explore different ideas to develop both personally and professionally within my field.
Currently I teach Spanish private lessons in Cheltenham

Maria`s lessons are always fun and interesting because she varies what we do. She distributes the time well between vocab and grammar. I never feel overwhelmed with information, I always learn an appropriate amount each lesson. She compounds this with a good amount of homework which, although not obligatory, does continue the learning process through the week.
She is easy to get along with and patient as well (which is good for slower learners like myself). I would happily recommend Maria.
