Specialist in individual tuition in GCSE and A level Chemistry to supplement school lessons, mature students or those retaking A level exams.
As most students currently have had their school lessons curtailed due to the Corona virus, I am very aware of the topics students are not being taught and I have all the resources and teaching experience to help them in this difficult time.

I am a qualified, CRB checked teacher, with 20 years experience teaching Chemistry at an outstanding Grammar school, an Independent school and a Sixth Form College. I have also tutored on a one to one basis for over 7 years, and am currently tutoring online. Being a teacher myself, I am very aware of the time constraints schools have in teaching the Chemistry syllabus and how easy it is for students to struggle with the necessary pace of the lessons. I can provide each student with support throughout their course, especially with the year 10 and 12 students who have missed lessons due to school closures which, unfortunately, will put more pressure onto each student.

I have a very approachable manner and I feel confident that each student will benefit from the tutoring I provide, either by supplementing their current school lessons, or by producing a personalised learning plan for mature students and those retaking exams, in order for each student to achieve their potential.

I am highly experienced at supporting students of all abilities, all levels and in all syllabuses, using a variety of teaching methods to explain key concepts in both theoretical and practical topics and to develop effective exam techniques.

Tutoring on line allows me access and share to all my resources immediately with the student.

During the first lesson, I like to speak with the student and parents (where appropriate) to assess and discuss each student’s requirements.
