Information about Sarah
I am a former UCL research scientist offering General Science, Biology and Chemistry tutoring at GCSE level. Science can be challenging but also immensely rewarding and I would love to help students achieve their full potential in these subjects. By tailoring sessions to meet your particular needs I will aim to deepen your understanding, encourage your interest, and equip you with the skills, knowledge and confidence to be able to tackle even the trickiest exam questions.
I have biology, chemistry and physics A levels (AAB), a BSc in Cellular Pathology from the University of Bristol and a PhD from the Institute of Cancer Research.
I prefer to teach face-to-face in my own home but may be able to travel to a student`s home or teach online if necessary. There may also be some flexibility on availability, please contact me to discuss.
Availability: Please contact me for further information.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I have been tutoring privately for several months as well as helping my own children with their learning in science and Spanish during the recent lockdowns. I have completed the CPD-accredited tutor training course with Qualified Tutor, and as part of my job at UCL over the last 20 years I supervised several undergraduates, MSc students, and work experience students from schools.
