Hello! I’m Taylor, a third year medical student at the University of Cambridge. I’m excited to use my extensive knowledge of study techniques and passion for teaching to help you reach your academic targets and build more confidence in your studies.

My teaching methods are centred around creating a personalised learning environment, focusing on topics which you find more challenging while encouraging effective study techniques which are most suited to you.

I value good organisational skills and time management, which has helped me personally to achieve an excellent academic record. At the Henrietta Barnett School, I achieved grade 9 in all 12 GCSE subjects, and 3 A* grades in A Level Biology, Chemistry and Maths, while balancing this with medical school applications, wider exploration of my subjects, and extracurricular activities. Since studying Medicine at Cambridge University, I have further explored efficient study skills and look forward to extending this knowledge to you.

Experience: I am confident in my knowledge of study techniques and have enjoyed sharing this with students who I have mentored in their A Level studies and applications to competitive medical schools, including Cambridge University, Imperial College London and University College London. I offered detailed advice on A Level revision, personal statements, UCAT and BMAT examinations, and interviews, hosting mock interviews specific to the students’ university of choice. I am also keen to adapt my teaching style to younger students preparing for 11+ examinations, having received tutoring myself ahead of the Henrietta Barnett School entrance test.
