Information about Banu

I am a final year Law LLB student at the London School of Economics with extensive experience in tutoring and mentoring roles with young people in programmes such as Pathways to Law and the Schools` Programme on MyTutor.

I studied and loved English Literature at both GCSE and A Level; I aspire to project this passion into my tuition sessions. I want my tutees not only to exceed their own goals in these subjects but to come to love the subjects like I did! I focus not only on content but also time management and exam technique - these are important skills to develop in order to do well. In addition, I intend to embed goal-setting and progress checks into my tuition programme. I attained top marks in both my GCSE and A Level English exams; I believe this isn`t necessarily a hard thing to do. With the right exam technique and having figured out an approach, it is possible for students to achieve consistently good results.

I have mentored many students into gaining spaces at top universities across the UK during my role as a Pathways to Law mentor at the LSE. I always aim to go above and beyond, as mentoring and facilitating young people to reach their potential is a genuinely rewarding activity for me - therefore I continue to give private career and academic mentoring to A Level students despite having finished my term as an LSE Pathways mentor.

I am a friendly and enthusiastic tutor who aims to make learning a fun and rewarding activity.
