As an experienced and inspiring maths teacher, I will help you to gain a solid understanding of mathematical concepts, improve your accuracy and skills in maths and become confident at problem-solving. I love teaching maths and helping others to overcome their difficulties with this subject. I believe that anyone who want to progress in this subject can, and I am committed to helping my students achieve their goals, using the following teaching approach:
- Lessons are topic-focused with a clear objective and planned to suit your individual needs.
- Contain a mixture of skills practice, problem-solving and past exam questions.
- I use questioning which builds on prior knowledge to enable my students to self-discover mathematical concepts.
- Extra practice questions will be provided to work on independently to consolidate what has been learned at the end of each lesson.
- At the end of 6-8 lessons you will be sent an individualized assessment consisting of past exam questions to check your progress. I will mark and send this back to you with constructive feedback.
Availability: Weekdays: 4-6 pm
Saturdays: 11 am to 12 pm, 3-5 pm
Sundays: 11 am to 12 pm
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I have 10+ years tutoring experience and 8 years experience teaching Maths at a highly successful grammar school. I have helped hundreds of students achieve the grade they aspire to in Maths at GCSE and A level. I also have experience teaching further Maths A level.

Extra time with a formal A level teacher helps a lot especially with this much Maths content. Sarah changes the course depending on the student`s level of understanding, practicing weaknesses that prepares students better for exams.

Sarah is a wonderful teacher. An experinced maths teacher, she understands the requirements of the exam boards. Sarah knows how to pace the student. She is warm and encouraging. She communicates well with parents and guardians and lets you know how your child is doing. She sets tests and gives detailed feedback. Sarah is also very accommodating and willing to move the timing of a class should the child have a conflict or if there is a family event. Excellent all round.
