Information about Sarah
I have been a fully qualified as a Mathematics teacher since 2000 and have been teaching in secondary schools since then. I teach GCSE Maths and Further Maths and some A-Level Maths. I have been tutoring for many years - often students come to me by word of mouth. I have a vast amount of tutoring students at both Foundation and Higher levels. My teaching is based on conceptual understanding and building confidence with the basic skills before looking at procedural methods. I want my tutees to go away with an understanding of maths that will not only help them to pass their GCSE`s but also help them with their future life.
The first session is free to establish a working relationship.
Availability: I currently have some evening slots and I also have availability during the day on Mondays and Tuesdays as I am now part-time
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I have tutored students for GCSE and A level Mathematics. Modules offered at A level are Core and mechanics ( year 12)
I have taught for 20 years and was an Advanced Skills Teacher for Kent County Council for 1o years before working part-time as a Mathematics Consultant and part-time teaching.
I have worked with many trainee teachers and newly qualified teachers.
