Information about Helen
My name is Helen and I am a qualified teacher with over 20 years experience in various primary schools. I am a (young at heart) Nanna to 4 grandchildren and I am very friendly and approachable and I aspire to help children achieve their full potential in a calm and understanding environment. I love working with children on a one on one situation. If you would like me to support your child in their learning, then please contact me.
Availability: I have availability for this year. I am willing to work evenings and weekends to help children to `catch up` on the education they have missed out on this year due to the coronavirus situation.
Willing to travel: 12 miles
Experience: I have been teaching at Primary schools for 20 years. I work part-time and have taught all year groups on a whole class basis and recently with small intervention groups with a focus on preparation for SAT`s.
I have an excellent satisfaction rating from students and families using my services through tutorhunt, and some families continue using my services beyond the initial appointment.

Helen has been helping Arjun with key stage 2 English for approx 9 months now, and we have noticed a significant improvement in his understanding and his results have also improved in school. Arjun has found Helens explanations much easier to understand than other tutors and her manner and patience has made it more enjoyable for him, enabling him to tackle topics he would previously have struggled with. Helen has been focusing on preparing Arjun for YR 6 Sats in May.

Helen is a warm and friendly tutor who takes the time to get the most from your child, finding where your child is and progressing them forward. Our children are 7 and 9 and Helen is now tutoring them both separately, both children have taken to Helen and enjoy the time with her. I would highly recommend Helen for her understanding and knowledge of the school system and how to get the best from your child.
