Catherine

Hi, I am Catherine, a 4th year medical student studying at Cardiff University.

I am keen to teach Chemistry, Maths and Biology at GCSE and A level. I can cover specific areas within each subject and bring you up to exam level as well as preparing you for the exam by fine tuning your exam technique. I am familiar with most exam boards and happy to help with the new WJEC specifications.

I have worked with children, young people and adults for several years and have loved the opportunity to watch them grow in confidence and ability under my guidance.

I am open and friendly, and have worked with people with a variety of learning styles and can easily adapt to whatever suits you best. Please give me a heads up as to what you would like to cover so I can be fully prepared.

Availability: I am free most evenings and weekends, and occasionally during the day. My placement with university and work are very flexible.

Experience: I have tutored a sixth form girl throughout this year for AS Chemistry and Maths.

Previously I tutored a small group of 15 year old girls in preparation for GCSEs, in Maths, Physics and Chemistry.

I am currently an outdoor activites instructor at a centre in South Wales, coaching people of all ages in a variety of different activities.

I spent a summer as an Au Pair for a little boy in France, where I looked after and entertained him during the week while teaching him English.

I worked with the Red Cross in a children`s hospital abroad for 2 months, where my role was to bond with children during long stays and provide emotional support.

For two years I volunteered for the Stroke Association where I helped run conversation groups for people to redevelop their language skills.

In addition, during my course, I ran a tutorial on cardiovascular physiology for younger students in preparation for the first exams.
